We’re excited to welcome David Turnbull, Director of Public Art at the Edmonton Arts Council (EAC).

David will share insights from his work with artists and public art, including practical advice on how artists can present themselves, their work and their creative practice when applying for opportunities.

He’ll also tell us more about the work EAC is doing to support artists and the arts community, ways artists can get involved, and some of the things he’s learned about helping artists thrive.

While EAC is based in Edmonton, this talk is for artists and creatives across Alberta. Whether you’re looking for your first opportunity, preparing applications, developing your professional practice, or simply want to learn more about how arts opportunities work, there will be plenty to take away.
