Thinking about pursuing a degree in the arts? Whether you’re considering a BFA, MFA, or another creative program in art, music, dance, or theatre, this workshop will help you make an informed decision about your next steps.

Join EAR on Wednesday, October 1st at 7pm MST on Zoom for a workshop that goes beyond the glossy brochures and dives into the real questions you should be asking:

  • Is this the right time for me? How do I find a program that truly fits my needs?
  • What will I gain from the experience — and what will it cost me?
  • And most importantly, what will I do when I graduate?

We’ll cover:

  • Should you get a degree in a creative field? Exploring the benefits and challenges.

  • Finding the right school and program. How to match your goals with what institutions actually offer.

  • Application strategies. What to include (and what not to) in your portfolio, statement, and CV — plus tips for writing them effectively.

  • Funding and scholarships. Where to look, how to budget, and tips for reducing financial stress.

  • Maximizing your experience. Setting yourself up to get the most out of art school, once you’re in.

You’ll leave with practical tools, funding resources, and a clearer sense of whether pursuing an arts degree is the right choice for you — now, later, or maybe not at all.
